Our Clients Are Recruiting
15th March 2021
You don’t need us to tell you that it has been a testing and tricky time in many sectors of the economy. The pandemic has led to many workers being on furlough, some projects being delayed – and, unfortunately, some businesses closing their doors for good. It’s not all doom and gloom, however. In fact, at DMA we have placed a number of significant roles across a number of sectors over January and February, and this gives us a lot of confidence that the rest of the year, as the UK moves gradually out of COVID restrictions, could bring further opportunities.
We’ve kept very close contact with all of our clients throughout the pandemic and associated lockdowns. Charlie has used some of the quieter months in particular to work alongside each of them to identify opportunities and challenges, and how
smarter recruitment can help meet both. We see this strategic consultancy element of our service as an essential building-
block of the DMA experience – and our clients do, too. In fact, many cite Charlie’s work with their senior decision-makers as one of the most value-adding elements of our service to that business. In other words, recruitment isn’t just about hiring – it’s about getting to the stage where hiring not only makes sense, but can be done properly, and achieve both a good shortlist and, ultimately, the ideal candidate.
The sectors that we’ve seen especially hiring at the present time have included manufacturing, medical, engineering and industrial services. In Charlie’s experience, these sectors have further found that they also share particular
needs, and we’ve been recruiting for business operating in these areas among the following roles:
- Finance Director
- Interim Operations Director
- Head of Quality
- Continuous Improvement Manager
- Sales Professionals
Charlie feels the sectors and companies that have been recruiting are looking for fresh ideas and new energy, as well as sourcing candidates that really are looking for career development. In other words, the present time makes demands on all of us – but it also creates opportunities. Drop us a line to chat more.
